This privacy notice applies to prospective employees and interns of Latsco Group. For the purpose of this notice, ‘Latsco Group’ means Latsco Shipping Limited, Latsco (London) Limited, Latsco Marine Management Inc. (‘LMM’), their subsidiaries and branches, respectively.
The data controller of personal data received from job applicants through this website is LMM, a company organized under the laws of Panama with its branch office in Greece at 4 Xenias Street, GR-145 62 Kifisia-Kefalari, Greece.

Individuals who are successful in their application for employment or internship, will receive a separate privacy notice when they join the company. This notice does not form part of any contract of employment or other contract to provide services. We may update this notice from time to time.

We collect this information in a variety of ways. For example, data might be contained directly from you, such as application forms, CVs or resumes, obtained from your passport or other identity documents, or collected through interviews or other forms of assessment, including online tests.

We will seek information from third parties only once a job offer to you has been made and will inform you accordingly, unless it deems necessary to obtain references during the recruitment process. We have a legitimate interest in processing personal data during the recruitment process and for keeping records of the process. Processing data from job applicants allows the organisation to manage the recruitment process, assess and confirm a candidate's suitability for employment and decide to whom to offer a job. We need all the categories of information in the list above primarily to process data to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you, then to allow us to enter into a contract with you at your request and to enable us to comply with our legal obligations.
For some roles, we may seek information about criminal convictions and offences. Where we seek this information, we do so because it is necessary for us to carry out our obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to employment or comply with a regulatory requirement to establish whether or not an individual has committed an unlawful act or been involved in dishonesty or other improper conduct.
We will not use your data for any purpose other than the recruitment exercise for which you have applied. If your application is unsuccessful, we will keep your personal data on file in case there are future employment opportunities for which you may be suited.
In case a data processing is based on your consent, please note that you are free to withdraw your consent at any time.
Your information will be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes members of the HR team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles. Your data may be shared with other entities of Latsco Group for recruitment purposes.
We will not share your data with third parties, unless your application for employment is successful and it makes you an offer of employment. We will then share your data with former employers to obtain references for you, or in order to obtain necessary criminal records checks.
We will not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.
We take the security of your data seriously. We have internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by our employees in the proper performance of their duties.
If your application for employment is unsuccessful, we will hold your data on file for 2 years after the end of the relevant recruitment process, unless we have a legal or regulatory reason to keep it longer. At the end of that period or once you withdraw your consent, your data is deleted.
If your application for employment is successful, we will keep your personal data collected during the recruitment process, transfer them to your personnel file and and we will process it in accordance with the relevant privacy notice which will be provided to you upon commencement of your employment or internship.
You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all. If your application is successful, it will be a condition of any job offer that you provide evidence of your right to work in Greece and satisfactory references.
